Summary of Responsibilities:
The Quality Auditor provides support, development, and coordination of quality control processes included within the manufacturing processes. Assists with the development and deployment of Quality Systems and tools to ensure all products meet customer requirements and are in compliant with technical specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Follow all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations
• Provide quality technical support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality fundamentals
• Have a thorough understanding of the Computerized Quality System and provide training to the Operations team on a regular basis.
• Conduct quality control audits with focus on historical complaints to ensure effectiveness of the internal specifications
• Conduct Internal Audits.
• Assist in the determination of root cause and corrective action of quality issues with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
• Conduct raw material testing on a periodic basis and maintain a log to provide communication to departments on a regular basis
• Coach and train production teams on proper procedures per established standards
• Continually evaluate workflows and processes, and further recommend improvement opportunities
• Review production reports to ensure Quality documentation is complete and accurate (i.e. test data, checklists, lot traceability, etc.)
• Assist with building the bridge between QA and Production to support the continuous improvement of the QC process while promoting the long-term vision of Self Inspection where applicable.
• Arrange and Maintain work area per Quality 5-S requirements.
• Ability to perform other duties assigned

Required Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and analytical with relentless attention to detail
• Ability to perform assigned tasks independently with limited supervision
• Proven ability to multi-task and finish projects accurately and on time
• Strong math skills; be mechanically inclined
• Ability to read measurement instruments: tape measure/ruler (to 1/16th”); calipers; gauges
• Ability to learn new processes in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of MS office applications

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:   1 year in extrusion/converting manufacturing environment. Experience with Quality Information systems is preferred.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee must: Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; Be able to push or pull heavy objects up to 250 pounds. Work 12 hours shifts, Perform repetitive tasks. Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk. Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance, sometimes in awkward or tight spaces. Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment: Conditions are that of a manufacturing environment. Air Temperatures can range from cold to hot. Atmosphere may contain dust, fumes and odors. Hazards may include mechanical, electrical and chemical.
PPE Requirements: Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including; safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe), safety glasses, protective gloves when performing certain tasks, hearing protection when required, and other personal protective equipment as required for specific tasks or in specific areas.
