About the Position:


We have a great opportunity for a hands-on, experienced trainer to join our Claims team. This is a unique opportunity to come in and develop and deliver exciting training programs for new and existing claims team members.

 

Your previous insurance adjusting & claims training experience will play a key role in ensuring that our claims organization is properly trained and ready to take on the adjusting world and whatever storm it throws our way.

*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)


    • Develop and deliver engaging virtual and in-person claims training curriculums for a growing adjuster team of varying levels and areas of expertise. (Daily, CAT, Commercial)
    • Responsible for developing and delivering annual CAT First Notice of Loss training (company-wide).
    • Strategically partner with claims leaders and legal to identify and recommend technical and skills-based training for new and existing adjusters to meet company and business goals.
    • Provide effective training and continuous follow-up to evaluate the progress of new and existing hires throughout their employment experience by conducting check-ins with senior claims leadership and claims adjusters to discuss progress, quality outcomes or any concerns.
    • Build a process to effectively audit and evaluate claim files and calls that will assist in determining areas of needed development while paying special attention to any adjustments needed for learning styles, retention, and recall of material taught.
    • Partner with claims leadership to assist with workflow improvements for various claims processes to increase efficiency and improve claim handling.
    • Actively remains up to date with the latest claim-related statutes, insurance regulations, company procedures, and other legal requirements.
    • Act as a claims champion by developing a program to promote the consistency of our claim handling.
    • Participation in special projects as needed.
    • Partner with leadership, ensuring the consistency of information across the claims department and other functional areas.

    • You are comfortable presenting complex information over screen and in person to individuals in small to medium-sized group settings.
    • You are up to date in the latest technologies used to deliver engaging material to a variety of audiences.
    • Ability to manage projects and deliver expected results on time or ahead of schedule.
    • Perform continuous assessment of participant performance to validate and adjust delivery methods to ensure knowledge transfer.
    • You understand insurance policy language and can easily comprehend the complexities that insurance contracts throw our way.
    • Both internal (your peers) and external clients commend your excellent communication and follow-up skills.
    • You “think on your feet” and have the knowledge to provide solutions to complex problems and situations as they arise.
    • You are detail-oriented, organized, and can multi-task like nothing anyone has ever seen before!
    • You are a get the job done, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

     

    Some Requirements:

     

    • You come to us with 5 years of experience as a homeowner’s claims trainer with prior experience as a desk adjuster or field adjuster.  
    • Previous experience in public speaking/presenting in person and over screen to various levels of employees.

     

    Licenses/Certifications:

     

    • Fla 620 Adjuster License and/or training certifications preferred.


    Education:


    • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required.

     

    Computer Skills:


    • Must be proficient with MS Office and other internal insurance related programs, systems or applications. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
    • Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.


    Other:


    • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
