*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for team meetings and trainings will be required.
About the Role:
In this high-profile position, you will partner with Swyfft’s Senior Leadership to identify carrier opportunities in the homeowner, commercial and E & S markets. Your goal will be to expand the number of programs on Swyfft’s multi-carrier platform by identifying new relationships, leading the negotiation process, and finalizing the deal.
We are looking for a true hunter that knows the carrier market. Existing relationships with key players? Great! Uncanny ability and motivation to get in front of the others? Even better!
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
- Identify, pipeline, and prioritize existing and new partnership opportunities to drive revenue and increase Swyfft’s capacity to our agent market through networking and your existing relationships.
- Own the critical partnership process – including management of current relationships, identification of attractive partners based on commercial potential, and cultivating relationships at pertinent organization levels.
- Proficiently communicate the value of working with Swyfft to potential partners to support and expand our presence.
- Ongoing collaboration with internal business teams to understand Swyfft’s strategy, available resources, capabilities, and goals to identify pipeline constraints and development opportunities.
- Build and maintain an extensive network across insurers, reinsurers, and other nontraditional capacity providers and maintain long-lasting relationships for potential future opportunities.
- Ability to research and quantify market opportunities to accommodate current and future market demands.
The Successful Candidate: (what we're looking for)
- 10 years of experience working with (or directly for) a specialty insurance distributor broker or wholesaler.
- Strong knowledge of insurance and reinsurance markets with a proven track record of delivering exceptional and measurable results across multiple partnerships.
- Experience with developing actionable partnership strategies across fixed-income and equity asset classes and overseeing existing activities and deal structure management.
- Intellectual curiosity with a strong understanding and passion for the insurance industry coupled with the ability to make thoughtful and timely observations to identify risks and opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build business cases and analyze / model key economic drivers.
- Independent thinker with an ability critically analyze complex, detailed information.
- Ability to bring people together across internal and external teams in support of analyzing, reviewing, and ultimately executing opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, & influencing skills.
- Understanding of commercial and homeowners’ underwriting strategies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient with MS Office and other internal insurance related programs, systems or applications. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.
