GOLF RESORT GREENSKEEPER

Greenskeeper Job Purpose: Maintains golf course turf and grounds Greenskeeper Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Maintains golf course turf and grounds by tilling, cultivating and grading new turf areas, applying prescribed amounts of lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide, mowing rough and fairway areas at designated cut, cutting turf on green and tee areas, digging and raking ground to prepare new greens, grading and cleaning traps, repairing roadbeds, setting up tees and hole locations, trimming decorative trees and brush, and watering turf and grounds as needed. - 80% Maintains safe work and storage areas by observing all applicable local, state and federal safety guidelines and codes while using tools, and organizing and storing tools and equipment. - 20% Greenskeeper Job Specifications: Education and Experience: Essential: CA Drivers License in good standing Desirable: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Golf course turf and grounds experience Turf Management Certification Skills and Knowledge: Essential: Ability to operate weedeaters, blowers, edgers, and other related equipment Ability to operate tractors and skiploaders Ability to drive light duty vehicles Ability to lift up to 80 lbs Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and reach Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests Ability to maintain professionalism and composure Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions Ability to accept constructive criticism Ability to appear for work on time Desirable: Multi-lingual Supervisory/Managerial Accountability: Direct:    None Indirect:  None Greenskeeper, Irrigation, turf, landscaping, maintenance
