Tasks
The primary function of a shipper/receiver is to assist in the daily operation of the warehouse as needed. Incumbent reports to the Logistics Manager.
A. Correctly ships, receives and transfers material timely. This includes all paperwork and SAP (bar-coding) related transactions. Responsible for pulling, staging and preparing orders for shipping. Must check all labels and documentation for accuracy. Must put away material and record transactions accurately.
B: Maintain a safe working environment. Makes sure that GMP, housekeeping and safety practices are being followed. Responsible for general maintenance of the warehouse by cleaning floors, equipment and racks as appropriate. Responsibility for reporting any food safety problems to supervisor.
C. Work closely with the supervisor and group leader to ensure that they are working on priority tasks.
D. Must prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain logs, as required.
E. Assist and maintain all material handler responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
