Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Senior Technical Writer The Senior Technical Writer should be highly skilled in providing technical writing support to federal clients. - Meet with authors and other team representatives to review documents, compile inputs/corrections, resolve incompatible comments, and provide final publishable documentation
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other technical documents
- Organize and prepare information and data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and allied fields
- Work with application/system end users and our project clients to gather information and convert it into written narrative and documents
- Provide documentation that can be easily understood and used for training purposes

Required Skills and Experience |
- 10 years of experience in editing/writing and explaining highly technical data and information in simplistic grade school language for end users of complex IT systems and projects
- Experience in gathering information and data to convert into written narrative
- Experience in gathering, preparing, and distributing technical meeting minutes or working session notes that clearly articulate attendance, discussion topics, and action items/outcomes
- Expert Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in the application of a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools
- An ability to complete tasks independently and work as part of a team on larger more complex projects under the direction of a Project Manager or a senior level engineer

Preferred/Desired Experience | - Experience in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) HIGHLY Desired!

Formal Education | Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline |
Citizenship Requirement | U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity |
Security Clearance Requirements | Must currently possess a Public Trust or other Federally issued security clearance (Mandatory) |
