Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented SQA Tester Department : Federal Government Type : Full Time Min. Experience : Experienced Security Clearance Level : Public Trust (MBI) Salary Range : $79,700 - $89,925 Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and help staff test events with appropriate resources.

Coordinate with developers with functional analysts to create test plans and test scripts in accordance with VA-mandated testing documentation standards and templates.

Lead and conduct testing in according with Master Test Plan specifications that provide tracking, monitoring, and reporting of results.

Review and approve test reports. Monitor and update defect and bug reports. Create test reports. Required Skills and Experience Must have outstanding communications, interpersonal and customer service skills Knowledge of Automated and Manual testing policies and procedures.

Experience testing with MUMPS, VistA, and other VA systems. Experience with Electronic Data Interchanges (EDIs) and financial transaction systems.

An ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to overall company success. Experience in the coordination and management of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts.

Must possess knowledge and skills to ensure that test environments are set up accurately. Must be able to create test reports.

Experience working in an Agile environment. Must have comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems and networks, and specialized environments.

Experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures. Must be able to manage the defect database under the guidance of senior Quality Assurance (QA) engineers.
