Role Summary / Purpose :
As the AVP, CD & Sales Governance Process Surveillance you will be responsible for supporting the Surveillance organization as well as the Process Execution and Reporting leader through execution of complex surveillance campaigns as well as supporting the Sr Surveillance Specialist with monitoring and follow up of standard campaigns.
This surveillance spans all Commercial Platforms to detect client compliance with Synchrony and regulatory requirements. Further this role will conduct surveillance and monitoring activities that validate process governance and effectiveness across our Commercial organization as well as the CD & Sales Governance organization.
You will closely partner with our Process Owners and Control leaders sharing thematic and specific findings to enhance and improve our controls.
This role reports to VP, POS Surveillance Process Execution and Reporting Leader.

Essential Responsibilities :
Partner across our surveillance organization for complex routines and problem solving.
Execute phases of Sales Process Surveillance as well as provide insights into findings across the governance organization for appropriate actions.
Collaborate with Data Analytics COE and manage the sample data process and requirements
Provide KCA (Key Control Activity) data to Client Oversight Program as well as partner on findings to explore detailed discoveries.
Lead Sales Process surveillance on WMS workstream including weekly meeting cadence, functionality release testing, requirement validation, process enhancements and conduct training as needed.
Actively document findings from Surveillance tests, share feedback and subject matter expertise with Senior Specialists.
Support ongoing surveillance stakeholder reporting process.
Manage the wing to wing CCA (Compliance Control Account) process.
Assist with implementation of new Surveillance routines as needed.
Participate in Risk Testing engagements and Internal Audits as needed.
Perform other duties and / or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree, 5 years of Financial Services experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Client eco-systems functions such as Commercial, Marketing, Credit.
Knowledge of Point of Sale legal requirements (CTCs / CTQs)
2 years’ knowledge of CD & Sales POS Systems, products, features and channels. Such as Digital, DTC, API’s etc
Working knowledge of POS Systems and interfaces

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements :
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.
Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.
Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
