Role: SQL Developer
Location: Tampa, FL(3 Days Hybrid)
Job Type: Fulltime
Below is the JD:
- Write native SQL stored procedures, user defined functions and triggers.
- Design, document, create and maintain data structures for complex business data – tablespace, tables, indexes, views, partitioning etc.
- Able to provide environmental support – escalating issues when necessary to other DBA groups.
- Perform database tuning and performance analysis using standard tools
- Support development and QA teams through their development life cycles.
- Help resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver projects on time, on budget and with quality.
- Adhere to industry standards for best practices.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Min 7 years’ experience using SQL in application development and database administration.
- Expert in SQL – complex multi-table joins, nesting, correlation etc.
- Able to design, document, create and maintain data structures for complex business data – tablespace, tables, indexes, views, partitioning etc.
- Able to provide environmental support – escalating issues when necessary to other DBA groups.
- Able to grasp and understand business context and become expert in the underlying business data.
- Confident in dealing with administration of development environments, and in working with other DBAs for higher environments.
- Team player – able to work with developers in multiple technologies (Java, Ab Initio) to assist in impact analysis, design, and implementation of SQL queries/performance etc.
- Experienced working with QA teams.
Required Skills:
- Experienced at writing native SQL stored procedures, user defined functions and triggers.
- Expert in database tuning and performance analysis using standard tools
Nice to have:
- Write and analyze COBOL programs and have knowledge on VSAM/GDG file system setup.
- Analyzing COBOL Stored Procedures.
- Setup and modify JCL’s, PROC’s and control cards.
- OPC JOB scheduling and handle one time job runs.
Good to Have:
- Experience in Finance / Banking industry – some understanding of Securities and Banking products
