Engineer

SSI needs to add an Engineer to support our current list of services provided for the U.S. Navy.

Primary Functions: 

Provide engineering services to the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Program. Some of the systems and programs supported are United States Navy (USN) (Aegis, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Large Unmanned Surface Vessel (LUSV), CEC FMS platforms, Surface Combatants, Naval Air (NAVAIR)), USMC, all CEC system variants, Composite Track Network (CTN), Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

The candidate will provide sensor network engineering, land based test site support, and network and digital systems support.

• Experience supporting naval weapon systems or combat systems.
• At least two years of experience related to the logistics support of electronic or engineering systems or combat systems configuration management or combat systems modernization is required.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in an applicable discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer science, Electrical/Electronic Technology.
• Two additional years of experience in the areas specified below may be substituted for each year of formal education or portion thereof not attained.
• At minimum, a High School diploma is required for this category.

Must possess a valid California driver’s license.  U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance required for hire, and to be maintained throughout employment. All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.

CONTINGENT

• This position is contingent upon contract award and is anticipated to start in January of 2023.
