What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Support position at Synectics Inc.?

Description

  • Skills relevant to the proper maintenance and upkeep of the Dresden Operations Simulator.
  • Simulator for plant quality upkeep (essentially a 1-for-1 replica of a real plant control room, utilized for training nuclear power plant operators)
  • Building new annunciator boards to replace legacy boards

Qualifications

  • A "Jack of all trades" - IT/mechanical/electrical technician w/ education/skills in electric generation, electronics, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, etc.
  • Ideally 3-5 years experience in IT, Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical, etc. and/or equivalent education preferred
  • Some experience with wiring components/switches, low voltage systems, card swaps, system board repairs, RTOS systems preferred
