Summary:
Directs and supports management and staff responsible for the implementation, configuration, and operation of the Company’s IT infrastructure and applications. Provides guidance and direction to the appropriate resources to increase the efficiency of all systems, minimize downtime, comply with processes & procedures, and ensure completion of projects on schedule and within budget.
Essential Functions:
1. Line management responsibilities for managers, associate directors and staff members. For direct and indirect reports, will participate in and manage activities such as interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, salary review cycle, coaching and mentoring. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports and requests for leave. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures, priorities, and methods.
2. The role will have scope of impact that is minimally one Technology and functional business area focused.
3. Reviews, updates, & implements standards and procedures for computing to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (i.e. 21 CFR Part
11), existing Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and generally accepted industry practices.
4. Responsible for the development of operating and capital budgets in support of their Information Technology function in line with current budget recommendations per grade. Responsible and accountable to Vice President for reporting and managing against those budgets.
5. Coordinates resources, project schedules and communications for IT related activities.
6. Writes and approves goals for team members that are aligned to corporate strategic objectives.
7. Builds staff development plans in support of individual career objectives and corporate needs.
8. Builds effective relationships with business leadership across the company’s business units to ensure that strategic goals are clearly identified and projects to support them are delivered.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
Requirements :
BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus significant information systems/technology experience. Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment is essential. Process-oriented design, strong client service, leadership, and project management skills are essential. Background in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech development, or health care industry preferred. Highly effective presentation, documentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a team-oriented approach are necessary. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment is essential.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $106,830.00 to $207,800.00. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
