Job Posting for Patient Care Representative at Synergy Billing
The Patient Care Services Representative is responsible for assisting the clients’ patients with patient/client account balance needs or questions in regards to monthly statements.
Summary of Duties: To communicate with patients and clients about statements and patient account balances with the goal of maximizing the revenue and accuracy in patient billing.
Supervisor: Reports directly to the Patient Care Manager.
Essential Functions:
Answer incoming calls from clients’ patients regarding statement and billing issues.
Correctly diagnose and make recommendation to patient or to billing team to resolve issues.CPT
Participate in the process of statement generation and other patient call center activities for Synergy accounts.
Maintain excellent customer service when dealing with patient phone calls.
Attending weekly meetings with patient care center team.
Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Ensure all promises are fulfilled to clients and all statement needs are met.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Skills/Experience:
At least (1) one year of customer service experience
Inbound customer call center experience preferred
A background in FQHC and/or medical facility preferred
Knowledge of billing software and patient statement processing
Knowledge of business office procedures
Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and patients if needed.
Must be well organized and detail-oriented.

A strong desire to succeed.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Environmental/Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional overtime may be required.
Physical Demands: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard
