Job Description and Requirements
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a primary technology driver for the EDA Group at Synopsys. The TPM is a technology leader in one or more application domains and builds strong customer relationships and collaborations. They develop a deep understanding of the customer environment, their challenges – both current and in the future, and identify innovation opportunities in technology, solutions and methodologies. They guide development teams with technology roadmaps and solution requirements, and work closely with stakeholders including business, engineering and GTM partners.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $111,000-$194,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education. Key Responsibilities:
- Technology and Solution Roadmap: Drive the development of EDA technology and solution roadmaps. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define the strategic directions.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers and attend industry conferences to understand problem domains and evolving market trends. Anticipate customer needs and translate them into actionable insights for product development.
- Domain Expertise: Leverage deep and broad technical understanding, along with experience in the customer's domain area, to provide instant customer credibility. Ensure solutions are tailored to address real-world challenges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Management team to align technical initiatives with business objectives. Understand the business ramifications of feature development and provide technical guidance.
- Solutions Requirement Document: Lead the creation of Solutions Requirement Documents (SRDs) that outline the technical specifications and goals of EDA solutions. Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure clear communication of requirements.
- Roadmap Planning: Be an integral part of the technical side of the roadmap planning process. Provide valuable input into the prioritization of features and capabilities to meet customer demands.
- Technical Communication: Excel in verbal and written communication, effectively conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure clear documentation of technical requirements and solutions.
Qualifications:
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience as a Technical Lead or Solutions Architect in the EDA or semiconductor industry.
- In-depth technical knowledge of EDA tools and methodologies.
- Experience collaborating with ecosystem partners, understanding industry goals, and translating them into technical solutions.
- Passionate about solving leading edge industry challenges and trends.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
