Job Summary:
As part of the marketing operations team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring operational effectiveness of Synovus's internal creative studio. This person will work to ensure marketing processes are established, SLAs are solidified and understood, and ensure creative work is flowing in the most efficient way. Operational reporting will need to be established as it pertains to project request tracking, adherence to SLAs, tracking planned vs. unplanned work and effectively track capacity across internal and external creative resources. This is a new role for Synovus Marketing so it is critical that we have an experienced individual that can hit the ground running.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- "Owner of Marketing Workflow Process and Operational Reporting - Works across the entire marketing division understanding needs in order to recommend and establish the most efficient workflow process. This will require the ability to establish processes across many different marketing groups so a broad understanding of workflows across marketing functions is critical. Process must be communicated and built into marketing workflow tool. Develop and track adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Establish success metrics around efficiencies as it relates to project workflows, project intake/initiation, and resource tracking.
- Establish framework and cadence for reporting.
- Traffic Manager/Controller - Primary intake for creative projects. Intake process must be established and agreed upon to include in-housing vs. external agency selection, production expectations, project brief, and production timelines, and works with Director of Marketing Operations to determine if budget is secured and on target for each project. Establishes and maintains processes over the creative project lifecycle by managing the identification, resolution and escalation of project risks and issues that hinder delivery of programs. Escalates issues to management as needed. In order to be successful this individual must collaborate with the segment marketing managers, digital marketing, marketing ops, and research/analytics teams to understand market dynamics and key objectives for programs and campaigns to ensure the most effective resource planning process.
- Operational System Owner - Manages marketing operational systems such as the marketing workflow tool. Interfaces with vendor to ensure tool is meeting the needs of the department and the department is leveraging the system is the most effective way. System adoption will be critical.
- Operational support for Director of Marketing Operations - Assists Director of Marketing Operations with budget tracking, annual planning, audit/exam tracking and reporting. Each team member is responsible for process documentation within their functional area as it relates to their role in the marketing organization. Documentation should remain current and any updates should be submitted in conjunction with the Corporate Marketing Policy updates.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as required.
