What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Intervention Therapy with Children position at Syringa Family Partnership, LLC?
Teaching children with Developmental Disabilities (such as Autism, Epilepsy, Cognitive Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, and other related disabilities) new skills while teaching effective coping skills and positive behavior techniques. Skills are taught from the following life areas: Social and Emotional Development, Gross & Fine Motor Skills, Communication, Self-Help Skills, Community Safety Skills and other necessary Activities of Daily Living. Here at Syringa we work as a team. Therapy is provided in our clinical setting, in children's homes, in public schools, and out in their natural community.
If you have a Master's Degree in Education, ABA or Psychology (or related degree) and 1,040 hours of experience working with children with skill building needs or behavioral challenges, the starting wage is $22.00 an hour.
If you are a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who is able to provide supervision to other BCBA Candidates at Syringa our starting wage is $30.00 an hour.
If you are a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who is waiting to complete your 1 year of wait time (post Jan 1, 2022) in order to be able to supervise BCBA Candidates our starting wage is $28.00 an hour.
If you have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services required (education, child development, social work, psychology, special education, etc) 1,040 hours of experience working with children completed the starting wage is $19.00 an hour.
If you have an RBT Certification, as soon as we have secured our BCBA on staff to provide ongoing supervision, our starting wage is $17.00 an hour.
If you have your Bachelor's degree and don't have your 1,040 hours completed you can obtain those through us and the starting wage is $16.00 an hour.
If you are 15 credits or less to obtaining your Bachelor's degree in human services for 18 month you can work as a Provisional BI for $15.00 an hour.
If you don't have a degree and want to work as a Community Based Support Provider the starting wage is $12.00 an hour.
We pay the same wage for direct time with clients as we do indirect paperwork duties, training and meetings. We pay for drive time and mileage if requested to drive to our other therapy center or to a client's home.
Syringa offers paid vacation time to all staff, 401K for employees employed 1 year, medical benefits available and holiday pay for full time employees. We provide company vehicle for transporting clients and do not ask employees to transport clients in their own personal vehicles.
