JOBSUMMARY
Thisposition carries out and achieves a sales plan assigned by theSysco Specialty Meat Group (SSMG) company. This individual achievesmaximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration with anassigned territory by effectively selling the company’s products.
He / she promote, sell, secures orders from existing and prospectivecustomers through a relationship approach. This role demonstratesproducts and services to existing / potential customers and assiststhem in selecting those best suited to theirneeds.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish,develop and maintain business relationships with current customersand prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate newbusiness for the Sysco Specialty Meat Group's (SSMG) products andservices.
Make in-personvisits and presentations to existing and prospectivecustomers.
Taking customerorders with SSMG goals in mind : sales and GP / Stopmaximization.
Participate,review and oversee input of orders for customers via communicationwith inside salespartners.
React timely tocustomer problems andneeds.
Review daily out ofstocks, shortages, transportations issues and implement solutionsquickly.
Review, analyze andreact to daily / weekly sales and margin reports looking forimprovementopportunities.
Keep abreastof product applications, technical services, market conditions,competitive activities, trends and who the other distributors / salesorganizations are in yourmarket.
Participate in SyscoSpecialty Meat Group (SSMG) training and customer events.Participate in Sales meetings held by Sysco Salesleaders.
Develop arelationship with accounts payable (A / P) contact at everyaccount.
Participate andcoordinate communication between them and SSMG account receivable manager / representative.
Implement Ask Early and Often to control days sales outstanding( DSOs) and know signs to know when to say No Ship orCash on Delivery(COD) .
Updatebid files, customer profiles, and customer call sheets to ensureproper pricing and accuracy of needed items-thus reducing costlycredits andreturns.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
HighSchool diploma
Preferred : 4-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing,agriculture / animal science or relatedstudies
Experience
ProfessionalSkills
Deepexpertise of meat and seafood category or restaurant / culinarybackground with a shown capacity to quickly learn and apply newknowledge.
Consultativesales ability.
Must be self motivated and accountable for time management without constantsupervisordirection.
Exhibit strongcustomer relations skills and a sense of urgency in meetingcustomer needs.
Basiccomputer skills and proficiency with MSOutlook.
