Overview
The Clerk supports the pharmacy department by performing routine clerical duties including but not limited to sorting, matching and filing according to detailed instructions. Key job duties may consist of handling supplies, stocking prepackaged items, maintaining inventory, delivering supplies, maintaining records, or distributing supplies. The Clerk works diligently with pharmacy staff to minimize the potential for errors. The Clerk will use a computer and other standard office equipment to record, store and retrieve information. Makes minor corrections, codes items, and maintains records of documents processed. May be responsible for more specific tasks for the department, such as data entry, document scanning, mail processing, retrieval of medical records, or ordering and inventory of supplies and equipment.”
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Some clerical experience is preferred.
- May require a valid Indiana driver's license with proof of insurance.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare administration and medical terminology is preferred.
- Requires basic computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) preferred.
