Summary
The Engineering Technician will be involved in planning and execution for efficient utilization of the disposal cells at a waste facility in West Texas site. Work will involve evaluation of anticipated shipments and development of an optimal disposal plan for current and future waste shipments. The Engineering Technician will coordinate with waste facility Operations to adjust and implement disposal plans daily. Work will be reviewed by the Engineering Manager and his designated project manager.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a technical expertise and knowledge of engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, Civil3D)

Summary

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Project Engineering Manager to develop the disposal plan for anticipated shipments.
- Coordinate with waste facility Operations on daily disposals
- Assist Project Engineering Manager in implementing the disposal plan in the field.
- Assist operations with any cell prep work that is needed based on the disposal plan.
- Track all new disposals in the Compact Waste Facility (CWF) and the Federal Waste Facility (FWF).
- Send coordinates of disposals to Inventory Control.
- Attend daily morning meetings with Operations.
- Compiles data, computes quantities, and prepares drawings and sketches.
- Develops layouts, plans, sections, elevations, and details as necessary for fabrication and construction.
- Ability to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
- Keeps accurate notes, records and sketches and coordinates findings with engineers, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Assists with design schedules and ensures adherence to them.
- Addresses technical questions associated with engineering design of projects.
