Min: 1yr incoming inspection experience required
12 month contract
$40K-$45K salary
4/10 6am-4:30pm 4 days a week.
Incoming Inspection 3PL
Purpose of the Job:
Works autonomously on incoming inspectors 3PL warehouse
She/He will be in charge of Inspection of purchased part / product
Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework)
Performs Inventory purge activities
Main Responsibilities:
The Incoming inspection at 3PL external warehouse ensures the compliance of purchased products and parts delivered to the ALSTOM facilities.
He / She will lead the activity by performing inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products having been delivered by suppliers before their use in production.
Accountabilities & Authorities:
Incoming Inspection team performance KPI
Attends internal meetings (MRB & Critical topics)
Perform inspections according to Incoming Control Plan
Accept or Reject products as defined in the inspection instruction/ checklist
Records inspection results in the digital tools as required
Accurately document NCR when applicable with clear characterization and prepare the notification in the ERP system (ex GSI)
Control the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
Works with industrial teams and supplier quality team to alert on risks of missing parts due to defects
Reports to the SQA Incoming referent the synthesis of inspection results, including KPIs
Performance measurements:
Inspection method time adherence.
Defect characterization
NCRs control, records, follow-up and conclusion
Level of escapes to production line
Educational Requirements
Associates Degree or technical Major is preferred but it's not mandatory
Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work
Railway experience a "plus"
Experience
Mandatory:
Previews experience incoming inspections, doing inspections
Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project
Experience within manufacturing industry
Desirable:
Quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry
Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated
Competencies & Skills
Good skills of organization, control, inspection, communication and follow-up required
Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) and quality tools
Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working
