Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer :
- Design product parts, assemblies, and structures ( both steel and aluminum - sheet metal design, casted part design and assembly design )
- Participate in engineering requirements management, design development, customer design review process
- Work closely with other design engineers to achieve high-quality engineering design and design integrity
- Ensure that mechanical design complies with customer requirements, industry standards and regulations, follows internal design verification and validation process
- Conduct product Design Reviews, prepare all relevant engineering documentation, attend the meetings, and follow up
- Monitor, control, and report design activities progress within the project
- Support other teams as needed : industrialization, manufacturing / production, procurement / supply chain during manufacturing ramp-up, testing and commissioning
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar disciplines like Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, etc
- Previous experience in such roles as Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer with emphasis on design, development, and calculations of complex metallic structures ( steel, aluminum / aluminium alloys )
- Structural design knowledge and experience : brackets, sheet metal design, machining, tolerance analysis, corrosion protection, material selection, casted parts, and fasteners selection etc.
- Proficiency with mechanical design CAD tools like : CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD – Catia V5 experience will be a BIG PLUS !
- Experience with PLM ( Product Lifecycle Management ) tools and Engineering Requirements Management tools like DOORS will be a plus
- Knowledge of welding processes and techniques and familiarity with AWS (American Welding Society) welding codes and standards will be a plus ( not mandatory )
