What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at System One?
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in vessel design and/or boat manufacturing or shipbuilding.
- Demonstrate effective leadership with multi-disciplinary project teams of 3-15 designers and engineers.
- Work with Engineering Management to develop accurate Project Schedules and Budgets, ensuring the project is held within 5% of the plan.
- As a Project Engineer you are 100% accountable for your project’s Technical Specifications, Statement of Work, and all Regulatory Requirements (CFR, IACS, ABYC, NFPA, NAVSEA, ISO, etc.). You are responsible for ensuring all engineering and design deliverables are in 100% compliance accordance with the aforementioned documents.
- Seamless weave together vessel design by ensuring communication and minimizing interferences between the different design disciplines: Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, Marine/Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Outfit Design.
- Proactively ensure the accuracy of the design including but not limited to 3D Models and Drawings.
