ALTA IT has a Contract to Hire position open for a Python/R Data Analyst.
100% Remote

Our work depends on a Python/R Data Analyst joining our team remotely. The program supports in-person assisters with technical support services to enhance their knowledge and skills so that they can facilitate enrollment in insurance coverage, Medicaid, and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through the Affordable Care Act of 2010.

Our people are at the center of everything we do. As a Python/R Data Analyst a typical day will include:
- Conducting analysis of data related to Marketplace Assister Technical Support business areas
- Document and communicate reporting requirements, rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis,
- Reviewing and analyzing collected data to determine the performance and health of a system or network,
- Writing Python code to perform in-depth data analysis,
- Recommending changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer,
- Assembling, preparing, and analyzing data for system requirements and other needs,
- Presenting data in briefing and other formats to internal teams
- Providing input or preparing technical reports/briefings based on the expert interpretation of analyzed data,
- Participating in meetings to provide assistance with technical inquiries related to system implementations, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree 5 years related experience, or Master's degree
- 5 years of experience working with data and completing data analysis activities, including designing and building reports.
- Expert-level hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Python, Pandas, R code, and/or NumPy
- Proficient using MS Excel and Access
- Competent using MS Word and PowerPoint
- Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Position requires candidate must be US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
- Salesforce and Salesforce Visual Force experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to JavaScript
- Hands-on Tableau experience
- Healthcare Service Industry or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services
- Ability to handle Salesforce data migrations
- Experience with preparing data files using Excel to load with Apex Data Loader
- Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
- High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases.
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail
