Responsibilities:
- Directly and effectively communicate & oversee with our customers, contractors, Radiation Protection, or any other work group that maybe involved with our Refueling outage.
- A typical refueling outage consists of reactor disassembly, fuel movement and reactor reassembly.
- Have knowledge with SAP, Procedures, processes, plans, briefs, and be able to direct anyone that helps support our refueling outages, as they will be the main contact during our refueling outages they support.
- Financial accountability for the project and also supports offer preparation.
- Field assignments typically last from 30 to 60 days.
- Complete company RFPM training or EPMO training which is required to be a PM for the company.
- Support a PWR refueling outage from project initiation to closeout working directly with our customers and vendors when requested to. They will also have to learn the company procedures & processes involved with being a project manager. They will be part of the RFPM group which is managed by the PWR Operations Manager.
- Have knowledge and training to support human performance, fatigue rule, ALARA, lessons learned, best practices, operating experiences, and basic knowledge of nuclear outage service work and requirements.
Ideal Background:
- BS Degree or equivalent experience as a Refuel Project manager or Naval Nuclear education and leadership.
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Refuel PM or a Project Manager.
- PMI certificate but not required.
- Project Management; Nuclear Plant Work Experience.
