Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead-Acquisition planning and respective required DoD documents for upgrades / modifications to the IPPS-A Program.
- Draft Acquisition planning documentation for the IPPS-A program.
- Support formal and informal coordination meetings (IPTs etc.) for the IPPS-A program modifications.
- Manage the formal coordination process for IPPS-A Acquisition documentation through the Program, PEO EIS, all stakeholders, and the US Army Headquarters Staff as required.
- Assist with preparation of briefings for Congress/Congressional Staffers and preparing responses to Congressional inquiries.
- Resolve administrative issues/problems that arise and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure timely completion of multiple, simultaneous, independent events and projects of moderate complexity.
- Coordinate multiple work projects and other responsibilities.
- Prepare reports and correspondence from information gathered to support the entire effort.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- A current DoD SECRET clearance is required to be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- BA/BS degree in a related field, MA/MS preferred.
- Requires a strategic-minded individual with a talent for breaking down complex issues into well thought-out decision points for executive leaders.
- Experience leading Acquisition planning and respective required DoD documents during the planning of a development program. (Preference is Business Systems or Software Acquisitions).
- Strong understanding of DoD Acquisition Lifecycle, its phases, and program milestone reviews, to include experience with ACAT-1 program and comprehension of and experience with DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75.
- Experience in responding to and developing products for Congressional inquiries.
- Understanding of Army Acquisition processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experienced with Army Business Systems requirements development and management.
- ASA (ALT) or Army Program Office experience desired.
- Well Organized with Strong Writing/Editing skills.
- Experience in Agile approach acquisitions a plus.
