Test Technician :
- Perform testing of various rolling stock ( for example Amtrak high speed trains or light rail vehicles ) electronic / electrical / electro-mechanical subsystems and components
- Troubleshoot assembly / component problems utilizing test procedures and schematics as required
- Supports installations of electrical panels, equipment, components, and have good understanding of how they operate in order to troubleshoot any electrical issues.
Qualifications :
- Knowledge and experience with electrical, electromechanical systems, electronics, computerized test stations and diagnostics systems, data recorders, installing software and firmware, developing test configurations, digital multi-meters, chart recorders, oscilloscopes, pneumatic/hydraulic gauges and various other test equipment, etc
- Previous experience in such roles as: test technician, testing technician, test and commissioning technician, engineering technician, electro-mechanical technician, aircraft avionics specialist, aircraft maintenance technician, electronics technician, quality inspector, electrician, electrical technician, etc
- Ideally a strong knowledge and comprehension of electrical diagrams and schematics, bloc diagrams, wire lists, functional diagrams along with knowledge of basic electronics and the operation of 12VDC-72VDC and 24VAC-480VAC systems
