Configuration Mgmt Engineer/Analyst

S3, Inc. is a woman owned small business founded in 1991, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, that provides technical, programmatic, and logistics services to US Department of Defense, other US Government Agencies, and Partner Nation militaries, co-located with Government requirements.  S3 has a wholly owned subsidiary, Kachemak Bay Flying Service (KBFS), that provides aviation pilot training, heavy lift, aircraft maintenance, and related aircraft services to Government and commercial requirements IAW multiple FAA certifications.

S3, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Configuration Management Engineer/Analyst to support PFRMS project office at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Position Description:

Configuration Management (CM) Engineer/Analyst- Provide technical support in Configuration Management field for the Performance Management Directorate, Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems PMO.   Duties include : the reviewing and validating of 3D models , reviewing and validating of 2D drawings; assessment of  parts lists for missile systems, launchers and subsystem components for the suite of munitions and launchers managed by the STORM PMO; performing of checklist activities associated with  technical documentation and  compliance with applicable development standards ; providing technical support at audits performed at development contractor or subcontractor facilities; supporting the development of plans in support of Configuration Management;  review  of Data Rights Markings to assure compliance with PMO goals;  providing technical support to change control processes.   Requires coordination between elements of the Project Office related to product configurations.

Experience/Skills Required:

8 years overall technical experience with Bachelor’s degree in engineering. 1 year experience creating 3D models. 1 year experience developing or validating 2D drawings. 1 year experience performing checklist activities on technical documentation. 1 year experience providing technical support to audits or reviews of documentation. 1 year experience coordinating configuration activities between elements of an organization. 1 year experience supporting change process on drawings or models. 1 year configuration development/management experience in a Project Office or similar organization.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma with 11 years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance Required:

Secret or the ability to obtain an interim secret clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
