T.A. Electrical Contracting, Inc. engineers electrical solutions for residential, commercial and industrial clients throughout the Chicagoland and neighboring Suburbs. We have been in business for over 10 years and is experiencing continued growth. Because of our continued expansion, we are seeking a qualified Administrative Assistance who will share in our vision, values and commitment to superior customer service.
The Administrative Assistance contributes in driving sustainable growth by ensuring smooth running of the office. The ideal candidate will undertake administrative and clerical tasks, enjoys working with a team yet is able to work independently with little supervision. The candidate would need to be self-motivated, trustworthy, competent in prioritizing, and will ensure the rest of the team has adequate support to work efficiently.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administrative support to the Director of Construction with scheduling of meetings, generating contracts, processing expense reports, generating letters/spreadsheets, calendar management for the department, travel arrangements and filing. This position will also provide some support to the Construction department staff.
- Liaison between T. A. Electrical Contracting and General Contractors for insurance document requirements, permits and licenses
- Update the Status Report and track all T.I.’s from start of construction to completion. Collect required photos and close out paperwork from the General Managers/Operations Team.
- Completion of permit applications, required certification documents, and compliance information.
- Batch and compile financial documents and payroll reports
- Drafting of work proposals, invoicing, and job memos.
Qualifications/Skills:
- REQUIRED 2-3 years experience in development or construction field or related degree.
- College/university degree preferred, but no required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clerical and data-entry skills required
- Good computer skills
- Detail oriented and patience for thorough analysis and solutions.
- Ability to be proactive and to work independently.
- Excels in a challenging and fast paced office
- Financial reporting and monitoring experience preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $27.00 per hour
