The MDI team coordinates and packages the data regardless of source These teams do not have access to the firm’s gold source systems, so MDI supports a large portion of their data needs across all data types These teams are generally proficient in firm gold source systems, but require additional data not available to the public due to compliance functions or by team design MDI has deep knowledge and understanding of external data distribution according to TRP and industry compliance rules. Additionally, MDI is a consumer of data derived from internal, gold source systems/tools and generally does not manually calculate data Role Description: The role of the Analyst is to provide high level technical and subject matter expertise for certain data/statistics that result in accurate production and dissemination of performance information. As part of this role the Analyst leads and implements initiatives and projects focused on quality, efficiency, and business partner satisfaction, ensuring consistency across all teams globally. The Analyst acts as a mentor and coach for peers within the MDI team, globally. This role builds strong relationships with teams and associates across the firm that MDI relies on for data/statistical support. The Analyst has a comprehensive understanding of external data distribution rules and regulations according to TRP and industry compliance guidelines. Technical Expertise: Utilizes subject matter expertise to fulfill complex and/or custom data/statistics requests, requiring advanced understanding of data availability and compliance rules. Partners with teams across the firm, globally, for guidance and/or data. Demonstrates consultative skills with requestor, ensuring they are aware of the options by which to present data and associated timelines. Process Improvement: Utilizes subject matter expertise to improve current processes and meet changing data needs as defined by regulatory changes and customer needs. Identifies, recommends and develops significant, measurable process improvements to generate efficiencies, reduce operational risk, and increase levels of customer service through faster delivery and higher accuracy. Project Management: Facilitates cross-functional projects by defining objectives, aligning resources, and developing communication, setting expectations and project plans with the assistance of the Lead Analyst. Participates as a subject matter expert in special taskforces and cross-functional projects. Coaches & Develops Others/Leadership: Acts as a mentor and authority, providing coaching for less experienced team members. Assists Lead Analyst with identifying workload and capacity concerns and assisting team members with identifying solutions to daily challenges. Serves as a back-up to the Lead Analyst as necessary. Role Summary Monitors and reports on client portfolio performance. Continues to develop an understanding of online tools and reporting platform. Answers standard and moderately complex inquiries from clients regarding client reporting operations. Reviews data leveraged to support business initiatives. Responsibilities: Provides analysis and development of reports related to all aspects of account activities, performance, and investment-related practices and procedures. Serves as an escalation point for client inquiries. Continues to develop knowledge on various product and investment offerings in order to address client inquiries and concerns. Maintains the reporting system utilized by clients to generate reports on their portfolios and portfolio performance. Trains clients on reporting system. Interprets and suggests programs or improvements to services delivered in order to improve client service and operational experience. Continues to develop expertise in investment data and compliance requirements. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2 years of total relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Excel Skills Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements Experience leading projects/initiates from creation through implementation, globally Demonstrated specialized industry expertise in performance measurement and/or data management Applies consultative approach when interacting with customers and peers; position requires interaction with associates at all levels Ability to coach and influence peers without direct Supervisory oversight Passion for Investment Data. Completion of or progress towards a CFA, CAIA, CIPM, or comparable designation.
