What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at T-Shotz?
The IT Manager is responsible for all computer hardware and software at the resort including maintenance, support, acquisitions, and strategic direction. They should propose and manage the budgets used for technology purchases, including Capital Projects. They will oversee the technology infrastructure to facilitate communications, telephone, and high-speed access. The IT Manager will also emphasize the training of staff in the ongoing use of technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identification, set up and installation of new hardware and software
- Deployment of software upgrades for applications
- Provide first line software and hardware support for all users on all company approved products
- Responsible for all hardware and software support contracts
- Possess working familiarity with all software used on property
- Provide technical assistance with setup and maintenance of electronic AV equipment on property
- Work closely with conference/catering department to plan for AV needs for all events including pre-conference meetings with guests
- Maintain resort wide LAN including responsibility for backup, security and virus protection standards and implementation
- Drive property-wide PCI (payment card industry) compliance goals ensuring property compliance and security
- Administration of property-wide network credentials, passwords, and login access ensuring that proper security and confidentiality (including HIPAA) is maintained
- Administration of firewall access (including remote/VPN access) ensuring tight network penetration security
- Administration of web domains, registrations, and access rights (including 3rd party access rights)
- Installation, maintenance & troubleshooting of printers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
- Oversight of installation and maintenance of telephone switch, telephone lines and telephone equipment including
- identification and monitoring of local and long distance service providers
- Assist department heads with identification and implementation of technology solutions that assist them in achieving goals
- Establish and implement a preventative maintenance schedule
- Enforce long-term company strategy of systems integration and network affiliation
- Maintain asset management schedule of all hardware and software inventory
- Work with the management team to set long term technology plan and goals
- Maintain a positive working relationship with service providers
- Stays current on all Google platform tools
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the General Manager,
- Director of Finance, or corporate management
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 4 year diploma graduate or equivalent
- Well organized, able to work independently
- Ability to identify problems and be able to resolve them systematically
- Excellent customer service skills
Desirable
- 2 years experience in hospitality
- 5 years technical experience in comparable field
SKILLS
Required
- Strong technical support experienc
- Advanced understanding of Windows Client and Server operating systems
- Understanding of internal system components
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Apps
- Advanced knowledge of networking, security, phone systems, and general computing
- Basic knowledge of Audio Visual Systems
- Advanced knowledge of PCI security standards
Desirable
- Advanced Understanding of Network Protocols/Standards
- Advanced Understanding of Group Policy/Active Directory Management
- Advanced Understanding of Windows System Components
- Knowledge of hospitality PMS/POS/and Sales & Catering applications
- Comprehensive Experience with Google Apps

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property
- Occasional need to stand for long periods of time
- Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- May supervise IT Technicians at a future date; will collaborate with Facilities Technicians when necessary
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- May require limited local or regional travel for training purposes
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May vary from inside 100% of a daily shift, or any blended inside/outside combination thereof, based on business requirements. May occasionally work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Noise level is moderate
