Workers' Compensation Representative
Summary: Looking for a bilingual, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual with strong computer skills and basic knowledge of worker's compensation insurance and safety who can work in a fast-paced environment, and provide accurate and timely data entry, superior customer service, and has exceptional critical thinking skills.
Pay: Starting at base pay of $12-$15/hour (Depending on level of experience) overtime, bonuses, & generous benefits package
Job Title: WC Representative
Department: Safety Department
Location: Corporate Headquarters - 511 Executive Center 79902
Work Schedule: M-F (8-5) with 1 hr lunch; overtime as needed
Summary: The Workers’ Compensation Representative is responsible for assisting in clerical tasks required to effectively complete work comp assignments. A vital responsibility of this position is to obtain information when an injury occurs and communicate it to the rest of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guide clients/employees to see that T&T injury protocol is followed
- Interview injured employee when accident occurs at medical facility/T&T office
- Complete necessary documents including, but not limited to, start forms needed to assist the workers compensation carrier to process workers compensation claims
- Review DWC forms and relay results to his/her supervisor, other departments, insurance carrier and client company
- Process incoming mail and distribute properly to carrier and medical review company
- Create reports for management to provide necessary data in auditing the budget and client rates
- Provides OSHA 300, 300A annually & Experience Modifier Rating letters for client companies as requested
- Provide payment status to clinics/physicians
- Provide claim status to client company
- Preparing payment of the department’s medical bills, drug screens, background checks, DOT testing and any other medical procedures in a timely and accurate manner
- Accountable for preparing reports (loss runs, billing spreadsheets, client deductibles, etc.) on a regular and special requests basis
- Runs medical billing to ensure collection of accounts receivable
- Maintain systematic communication with clinics/physicians, injured workers & clients
- Responsible in active participation of our Return To Work Program
- Responsible in ensuring work comp claims are processed properly and are closed appropriately
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

- Support with New Hire Orientations
Qualification/Requirement (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Client Services
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office not limited to but including: Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, management and client companies.
- Skill to utilize the web browser as needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent phone skills
- High levels of confidentiality when dealing with medical information
- Ability to prioritize, stay organized, take notes, and follow through on assignments
Education/Training/Credentials/Experience:
- The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or a GED
- 12 months related experience and/or training
