Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Loading and unloading survey equipment and supplies each day
- Clean and maintain survey equipment such as: GPS, Total Stations / Robotic Total Stations, levels, etc. as directed by the instrument operator
- Learn the operation of survey equipment; total stations, data collection devices, GPS equipment and digital/automatic levels
- Setting up survey tri-pods to provide backsite and foresight operations
- Cutting line
- Perform safety set-up and flagging operations under the direction of Survey Crew Chief
- Assist with daily vehicle pre-checks, cleaning, and completing truck sheets
- Assist with monthly survey equipment inventory
- Support Subsurface Utility Engineering services as required
- Other duties as required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to use standard survey equipment as instructed; training will be provided
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 week continuous stay
- Outdoor work in all climates
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only)
- Ability to stand and walk on smooth and uneven terrain for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical activities to include bending, squatting, etc. related to carrying and operating survey equipment and other tools
- Must have good oral communication skills and attention to detail
