Summary
T2S Solutions, LLC, a veteran owned small business, currently has an opening for a Project Accounting Specialist to join our corporate team in Belcamp, Maryland.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the development of Processes and Procedures of current project financial functions to streamline existing processes
- Serves as the interface between the project teams, procurement, and accounting functions to ensure accurate forecasting and posting of project costs
- Monitors and analyzes progress according to project spend plans
- Provides monthly forecasts to ensure efficient project execution
- Provides accurate and easy-to-understand cost and schedule reporting to the Project Managers and the project teams
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations and appropriate provisions for Cost Plus Fixed Fee Contracts, Time and Material Contracts, and Firm Fixed Price Contracts
- Recommend and execute corrective actions to handle project compliance
- Manage project accounting databases to ensure timely security and control
- Create and execute internal controls and offer Internal Auditor services to assure controls
- Oversee employee credit card usage, to include monthly account reconciliation, accurate coding of employee credit card charges, completeness of records, and appropriate tracking of charges against direct and indirect charge codes
- Manage the review of expense reports for allowability and allocability against appropriate FAR provisions, Joint Travel Regulations, and internal corporate policies
Qualifications and Skills
- Active DoD Security Clearance Required
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant competencies showing demonstrated increased responsibilities and successes
- Attention to details, note taking, and ability to learn and grow within the position
- Ability to pick up the phone and call individuals, not utilizing chat or emails to communicate
