Job Summary:
The MARSOC SERE instructor provides academic, field and scenario based training in support of the Marine Raider Training Center’s (MRTC’s) PR/SERE Branch to accomplish Full Spectrum Level “C” (FSLC) SERE training and other PR/SERE Branch training objectives. Instructors will provide training in all aspects of the FSLC SERE course including survival, evasion, resistance, and escape TTPs and support intermittent PR/SERE sustainment training exercises.

- Perform pre-course coordination and preparation of required schedules, training areas, and materials for all assigned training events and lesson plans.
- Develop and present all required Code of Conduct (CoC), PR principles and procedures, world-wide survival and evasion TTPs, resistance and escape POIs, academic role play labs (ARLs), field training exercises and resistance training laboratory (RTL) exercises in accordance with PR/SERE lesson plan guidance and training SOPs.
- Develop and present PR/SERE training to accomplish all FSLC course requirements across the range of military operations and possible isolating events including wartime captivity (POW), Peacetime Governmental Detention (PGD), and Hostage Detention (HD) training scenarios.
- Provide written/verbal assessments and student reviews to coach, mentor and remediate student capabilities and training performance to accomplish course requirements.
- Generate and administer staff and event evaluations through training reports and after action reports (AARs) at the conclusion of each training iteration.
- Assist in the development and training of newly assigned Contractor, Active Duty and DoD Civ (GS) personnel, and completion of refresher training IAW the MARSOC PR/SERE SOP.
- Perform and research technology assessments to stay current on emerging capabilities to support course improvements and cadre professional development.
- Analyze course content, trends in adult learning, and coaching, mentoring and remediating student performance and make recommendations concerning course/POI improvement
- Maintain High Risk Training Instructor (HRTI) certification and apply appropriate professional judgment in a dynamic training environment to mitigate student safety risks and accomplish learning objectives.
- Apply a practical understanding of the regulations, policies, field manuals, lesson outlines, courseware and POI utilized to conduct PR/SERE training.
- Perform Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties in support of PR/SERE training
- Complete MARFORSOC PR/SERE Course Unique Instructor Training (CUIT) and accompanying Individual Training Standards (ITS) upon hire
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must meet High Risk Training Instructor requirements as dictated by the Navy and Marine Corps (NAVMC) Formal Schools Management Manual 1553.2, Appendix D
- Graduate of an approved DoD Full Spectrum Level “C” (FSLC) SERE Course or a combination of SERE Level C and a Peacetime Government Detention and Hostage Detention (PGDHD) (or its equivalent – i.e., SERE 211, 215 or 225)
- Minimum of 3 years of service in the US military with an honorable discharge
- Meet instructor OF-178 physical requirements
- SECRET clearance
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as an instructor in a military formal training environment
- Previous PR/SERE instructor experience
- Previous active duty experience in tactical SOF ground, air and/or maritime operations

T3i Drug Free Workplace Statement: As a Federal Government Contractor, T3i is required to strictly adhere to federally mandated drug-free workplace standards. To ensure compliance with this requirement, T3i conducts pre-employment drug screening for all new hire personnel (full time, part time, and independent contractor) and annual random drug screening for all current T3i personnel. All drug screening includes testing for the following drugs, at a minimum: Marijuana (CBD, hemp oil, and other cannabidiol use may result in a positive result), cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, 6-monoacetylmorphine, and PCP. Personnel who cannot pass drug screening are not eligible for employment with T3i.
