What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical In-process Inspector position at Taber Industries?
Taber Industries is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high reliability Pressure Transducers, Materials Test & Measurement Instruments, and low tonnage air-clutch and roller-clutch presses.
The AS9100 certified Pressure Transducer division designs, manufactures, calibrates and repairs pressure and temperature transducers for high reliability applications including space, aerospace, military, industrial and deep sea environments.
We are currently seeking a full-time Electrical In-Process Inspector in our Transducer division. The position will
Inspect and verify components, assemblies and finished transducers to meet customer requirements.
Inspect incoming material to Taber’s quality standards, Generate QC Reviews or DMRs when appropriate.
Inspect in-process jobs and materials to verify they meet Taber’s quality standards and customer specifications.
· Test, inspect, clean and package finished goods.
· Inspect in process solder and weld joints, circuit board assemblies, cap element assemblies, body shield, nameplates, etc.
· Inspect manufactured transducers to Taber’s quality standards.
· Test, calibrate, and verify solder workstations.
· Ability to solder wires and electrical components to circuit boards meeting IPC J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements. Certification to Nasa or IPC J-Standard is helpful.
Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly. Ability to work under a microscope. Ability to read drawings and follow detailed work instructions. Ability to follow oral and written work instructions. Strong Quality Control Inspection background. Detailed oriented.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Must be able to remain stationary for extended period of time. Repetitive work with hands and fingers. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Full Time Position 7:00 am – 3:30 pm M-F. Can include weekday overtime and weekend hours. Benefits include Health insurance, Dental, 401-k, paid vacation and holidays.
