POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Busser is responsible for overseeing table maintenance, maintaining the flow of service and assisting the servers in the dining room. This position requires a motivated hospitality professional who is organized, friendly, and passionate. You will be an integral part of our service team who sets the stage for a memorable meal. You have a passion for food and beverage and you strive to provide selfless hospitality to our guests. You have amazing attention to detail, work well as part of a team, and work well under pressure.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Duties include clearing food & utensils from tables, resetting, water service, monitoring guest satisfaction and assisting the kitchen in expediting the service process.
- Must be pleasant, conscientious, and professional with excellent knowledge of food and alcoholic beverage selections.
- Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 1-2 years experience in a fine dining, high-volume atmosphere
- Exceptional communication skills
- Prior experience as a busser or server assistant in a full-service restaurant
- Ability to learn and retain information quickly
- Intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time

- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by restaurant environmental systems.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility at least 8 hours in length.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Busser is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear. Frequently it is required to use arms & hands to reach, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and it is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver plates, cases of water, chairs and dining room tables.
