Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maitre'd to oversee the dining experience at our establishment. The Maitre'd will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, supervising the host team, and maintaining detailed notes on returning guests' preferences, including favorite dishes, drinks, and allergies, to enhance their dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
- Manage and prioritize reservations, ensuring efficient table turnover.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to accommodate guest preferences and optimize restaurant capacity.
- Supervise and train host/hostess team.
- Maintain detailed notes on returning guests' preferences, including favorite dishes, drinks, and allergies, to personalize their dining experience.
- Oversee dining room cleanliness and organization, maintaining high standards.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Deliver kitchen VIP slips and allergy notes to the kitchen promptly after guests are seated to ensure accurate and customized meal preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels of dining room supplies and equipment, and coordinate restocking as needed.
- Ensure all menus are clean and up to date.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Maitre'd or similar role in the hospitality industry.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
4. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
5. Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service best practices.
6. Familiarity with reservation management systems such as RESY.
7. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
