What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Lead position at Tabu Shabu?
Kitchen Lead has the extremely important job of preparing the food that keeps our customers coming back to our business. A lead is also responsible for being aware of issues that may arise during their shift. They must be able to problem solve and guide their team members through the shift with efficiency and confidence. The kitchen lead is responsible to ensure consistency and training where applicable. Assuring that all food safety protocols are being followed.
Requirements:
- Experience in food prep
- Food Handler certified
- Food Manager certified a plus
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision, attention to detail, and speed
- Leadership
What you would do!
- Preparing ingredients and recipes for service
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow team members as situations arise. Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
- Open kitchen properly and follow the opening checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in opening the kitchen.
- Close kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen to set the next shift up for success.
- Follow all safe food handling practices. Adhere to all rules and policies stated in the employee handbook.
- Scheduling of back of house
- Preparing for daily orders, tracking inventory
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
