Bartender

• JOB TITLE: Bartender
• REPORTS TO: Service Manager
• PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of a bartender is to prepare & serve delicious beverages for their guests and for the service well, in concert with guiding guests through an exceptional counter experience by making suggestions tailored to guests individual needs, taking and sending their orders to the kitchen, delivering items in a timely fashion, and checking back with each guest to ensure that everything is perfect.
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  • Greeting guests at the bar in a friendly and professional manner
• • Describing all current specials with each guest
• • Preparing drinks for guests at the bar & for tickets from the service well
• • Use suggestive selling techniques to create better experiences and better check averages
• • Engaging socially with guests at the bar to create positive relationships
• • Use safe alcohol service practices to ensure no one becomes overly intoxicated
• • Taking orders and using Breadcrumb POS to send orders to kitchen
• • Completing satisfaction checkbacks at every course
• • Prebussing between each course
• • Taking payments, closing checks using POS, and cash handling
• • Communicate with fellow staff and managers
• • Assisting in answering phones & taking carryout orders
• • Keeping the bar stocked, neat, and organized
• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
  
  • Servsafe Alcohol or TIPS certification

• • Ability to Remain Calm, Friendly, & Enthusiastic Under Pressure
• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
• • At least 1 year previous bar experience in a high volume, full service restaurant
• • Must be able to read and identify order items on a chit ticket
• • Must have the ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per shift
• • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including kegs
