Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Manager to join our team at
Tactacam. We are a fast-growing, tech-focused tactical camera company! As the QA Manager,
you will play a critical role in enforcing QA standards and driving the overall quality assurance
efforts within our organization. You will work closely with the development and product teams to
ensure the delivery of high-quality software products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Enforce QA standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Develop and implement test case guidelines and procedures to ensure effective and
efficient testing processes.
Lead and organize the QA team, overseeing the setup and execution of automation
testing.
Champion the importance of QA practices and protocols, ensuring adherence across the
organization.
Drive automation efforts, including front-end automation, delivery release management,
unit testing, and integration automation.
Implement release versioning strategies and establish procedures for defect tracking and
flagging in test plans.
Collaborate with the product team to identify what should be included and excluded from
the test plan.
Take ownership of release planning and provide visibility into upcoming releases.
Act as a strong leader on the team, demonstrating a hands-on approach and effectively
managing priorities.
Work closely with the development team to identify stories and ensure proper QA
coverage for all features.
Possess a strong understanding of product flow and the ability to break down
applications, keeping up with test plans and enhancements.
Handle test planning for new firmware releases, creating organized and comprehensive
test plans.
Perform whitebox and blackbox testing as necessary.
Identify and manage product strategies from a QA perspective, ensuring the most
important features receive proper testing and attention.
Stay up to date with industry trends and new tools, continuously improving QA
processes and practices.
Requirements:
8 years of experience in QA roles, with a proven track record of managing QA efforts.
Strong expertise in identifying product strategies, defining QA strategies, and managing
delivery from a QA perspective.
Experience writing automated scripts.
Excellent understanding of automation testing strategies, integration enhancements, and
automation monitoring.
Proficient in both whitebox and blackbox testing.
Strong understanding of the B2C market space, with the ability to adapt QA strategies
accordingly.
Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate
with cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required.
