Position Purpose:
As an Agile Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for managing and guiding Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will play a crucial role in leading the team through the entire delivery lifecycle, including planning, execution, and continuous improvement. The Agile Delivery Lead will ensure that the team follows Agile principles and practices, collaborates effectively, and delivers value to the business.
In this role, you will take charge of:
- Agile Leadership: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including epic refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and design reviews. Ensure the team adheres to Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of product releases, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget. Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, and other teams to define product goals, priorities, and deliverables.
- Team Coaching & Development: Mentor and coach Agile team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. Help the team develop self-organization and cross-functional capabilities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between the product team and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on initiatives, risks, and progress, ensuring alignment with business objectives and outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, impediments, and dependencies that could impact the delivery timeline or quality. Work with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the implementation of best practices and process improvements within the team. Use metrics and data to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with resource managers to allocate team members effectively, ensuring the right skills are available for each product team.
Experience/Training/Education
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a software development or IT project management role.
- At least 5 years of experience leading Agile teams as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role.
Desirable:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI-ACP, or similar Agile certifications are highly desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), and practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Adaptability and a growth mindset, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is preferred.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment is preferred.
