Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Job Description & Requirements
Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply.
Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up
*ALL SUBMITTALS MUST INCLUDE A UNEXPIRED COPY OF THE CANDIDATES DRIVES LICENSE*

Required Certifications BLS is the only cert they require
Common Cases "Level I Trauma Center - 24/7 Poly Trauma response
All Service Lines
ORTHO: Major Ortho, joints, spines, sports med, trauma
NEURO: Cranies & spines
Xi Robotics: Surgical Onc, Urology, & GYN (not required as they have staff trained, but would be a bonus)
Bariatric Program
ENT: head & neck free flaps & reconstruction, as well as basic ENT cases
Ophthalmology: Retina, cataracts, & occuloplasty's
NOTE: The Adult Heart Team is in a different location (Heart & Vascular Institute). They have a separate Pediatric Heart Team. Kidney Transplants are also a separate closed team. "
Experience or 'Must have' skills Must be able to circulate independently & take call as required
Scrubbing required - RN's Scrubbing is not required
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor They have a Charge Nurse 24/7. Travelers would not be placed in this role.
OR techs Yes - they use OR Techs but currently only filling needs for RN's
EMR EPIC OP-Time
Shifts & Scheduling "SHIFTS: 2, 12's & 2, 8's
DAYS: 12's would be 6:30a-7p. 8's would be 6:30a-3p AFTERNOONS: 12's would be 9a-9:30p or 10:30a-11p. 8's could start at 9a, 10:30a, or 2:30p."
Weeknight/Call Requirement Travelers are expected to take call (see below)
Weekend/Call Requirement Travelers will be expected to work some weekends. The OR Manager wants the ability to schedule at least 1-2 travelers on the weekends. The weekend shifts would be 12 hour blocks from 6:30 am - 7 pm or 10:30 am - 11 pm. The rest of their hours would be scheduled during the week.
Holiday/Call Requirement Holiday call is open for discussion
Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement? Travelers are expected to take 20-30 hours of standby call in a 4-week period
What is call response time? 30 minutes from the time of call
Floating Requirements Only floating would be between 5N & 2W, depending on experience
Scrub Color/Dress Code Scrubs are provided
Unit/Department specific orientation Orientation would be provided to both 5N & 2W, totally 2-3 shifts, one of which would be orienting to EPIC.
Additional Notes Basic OR equipment - Bovie machines, forced air warmers, Neptune suction, drill consoles, Xi Robotics, Ligasure, Argon Beam
