Position Summary
The Regional Loss Prevention Manager (RLPM) oversees the daily activities of loss prevention efforts within the assigned area to ensure an effective and proactive approach to the reduction of shrink and protection of company assets. The RLPM partners with the VP of Loss Prevention, Sr. Regional Loss Prevention Manager, and various Brand and corporate leadership to develop, communicate, implement and measure loss prevention programs within assigned area of responsibility. Additionally, the RLPM is responsible for developing effective relationships with the Zone Vice Presidents, Multi Unit Managers and Store Managers, the review of key indicators of potential loss situations throughout the stores in all brands within the area of responsibility, and in the coordination of efforts to resolve suspected or actual losses. The RLPM will also observe and report upon substandard performance by Multi Unit Managers and Store Managers as it may relate to higher shrink or cash losses.
Key Accountabilities
• Takes ownership of loss prevention program for the stores within the area of responsibility and ensures quality execution of the loss Prevention program and their components. This includes but is not limited to the corporate directed “target store” program, investigations and training.
• Builds effective and positive relationships with all Store Managers, Multi Unit Managers such as Regional Managers or Directors, Zone Vice Presidents and corporate support teams.
• Provide training, coaching and education to Store Managers and Multi Unit Managers on Loss Prevention standards and best practices.
• Provides consultation and support in the resolution of loss prevention issues. Identifies potential issues and proactively develops solutions for issues including robberies, new store openings, customer returns, alarm consultation, etc.
• Conducts analysis of key indicators to identify loss, compliance issues or fraud within assigned area of responsibility.
• Coordinates field investigations and ensures successful resolution, maintaining accurate and complete records of events and issues.
• Personally, conducts internal and external investigations as needed in partnership with the Multi Unit Manager, Human Resources, Zone Vice President and the VP of Loss Prevention.
• Conducts outcome-based evaluations in stores as directed.
• Conducts store visits and evaluations of daily operations including but not limited to “target store” evaluations and annual operational evaluations.
• Designs and produces qualitative and quantitative reports and presentations in support of loss prevention initiatives and key performance indicators.
• Maintains current knowledge of industry information and trends and make recommendations for process changes to ensure best practices.
• Supports the VP of Loss Prevention, Sr. Regional LP Manager and complete other duties as assigned.
Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of multi-unit loss prevention experience
• Certified Forensic Interviewer preferred
• Advanced knowledge of loss prevention best practices, analysis, program implementation, and advanced interview training
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability in data analysis and interpretation
• Proven ability to identify, distinguish and analyze components of problems, making logical and effective conclusions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Travel up to 80%
• Flexible work schedule
• Ability to manage conflict to successful resolutions

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week and also accessible occasional nights, and weekends.
