Die Cut Operator

General Purpose of Position:

This position is responsible for operating the die cut machine producing material for sewing department to assemble and sew.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs as machine operator of the die cut machine which produces die cut piece of vinyl and leather which are sewn into chair seats and backs.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to floor supervisor.
• Stocks and prepares material for press machine.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, driving, taping, die changing, set up and other bench operations.
• Performs prescribe preventative maintenance on machines as required by P.M. guidelines.
• Inventory control and cycle counting.
• Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
• Reports any order discrepancies or any other issues to immediate supervisor.

Educational Requirements:

• High School diploma required

Training &/or Experience:

• 2 year related experience in Shipping/Receiving environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Familiar with all aspects of punch press and die cutting machine operations.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Good communication skills, must speak/read English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Reliable, able to multi-task.
• Desire to grow and learn.
• Detail oriented.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.
• Must be a team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
