About the role:
Conducts bio-/analytical assays to support research projects relating to the development of oligonucleotide-based therapeutics and contributes to multiple project timelines through a combination of experimental and lab-support work. Effectively documents and communicates all work done in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities to be assigned.

How you will contribute:
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- With general supervision, executes quantitative and qualitative bioanalytical assays aimed towards understanding the metabolic fate and localization of oligo-therapeutics and conjugates.
- Assists with LCMS and stem-loop qPCR workflows
- Processes tissue and other biological materials
- Utilizes any assigned literature to increase knowledge base and implement improvements.
- Will organize time and plan specifics of project related work with limited oversight from manager.
- Supports instrument operation and maintenance
- Performs calculations and basic analysis on experimental results and develops hypotheses
- Supports lab operations and functions which may include routine instrument maintenance, buffer/stock preparation, as well as inventory management
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
- Knowledge of analytical and bioanalytical methods geared towards oligonucleotides. Candidates with functional experience are highly preferred.
- Sound technical understanding of the following: LCMS, qPCR, and HPLC.
- Knowledge of DNA and RNA extraction, isolation, and purification workflows (eg SPE, LLE, etc)
- Ability to organize and plan experiments, follow SOPs, and document all work.
- Strictly adheres to all safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent communication and record keeping.
- Chromogenic/fluorescent microscopy and histology sample preparation knowledge are a plus.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS degree in a scientific discipline, or equivalent
