Full Job Description:
Takeda is an Omakase restaurant situated on the Upper West Side. We strive to bring the UWS neighborhood the best Omakase experience possible.
Our staff will need to be able to maintain a professional bearing while serving our multi-course meals to our guests.
We want to welcome aspiring applicants who desire to learn different types of Japanese food and manners.
Responsibilities:
- To swiftly take away the plates from the customers when needed.
- Ability to communicate with the rest of the Floor Staff in order to smoothly go through our courses.
- To guide guests to their proper seats when first entering the restaurant.
- Need time management and attentiveness skills.
- Assist customers with making their reservation through our systems.
- Frequent contact with customers via phone and email over different matters.
- Assisting the other chefs and staff when needed.
- Need excellent customer service skills.
- General cleaning duties
- Acting professionally when communicating with both guests and co-workers.
- Ability to handle multiple different tasks assigned by the head chef.
- Ability to listen effectively and respond accordingly.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Elementary Japanese Communication Skills (Required)
- Ability to accurately listen in Japanese (does not need to be fluent in speech, writing or reading)
Schedule:
- Sunday will be required.
- From 5:00pm-10:30pm (Days & TIme can be discussed during the Interview)
- Workdays: 2~4 days a week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
