Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Training and Development Trainer for a contract opportunity located in Warren, MI.
DURATION : One year with possible extension
LOCATION : Warren, MI (Hybrid Role : Tues / Wed / Thurs On-Site; Mon and Fri Remote
Position requires availability to work a W2 Assignment
OVERVIEW :
Hybrid Role : This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. This position requires to be onsite every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, at minimum.

Global Aftersales Engineering organization has responsibility for the service deliverable readiness of every client vehicle globally.
These include service part release, service information, labor time guide, service part catalogue, diagnostic software, service programming, pre-delivery inspection forms, customer service information and special tools.
Background Information : This group is responsible for training for the Aftersales Engineering Team. We train global engineering teams in north America, Brazil, China, and Korea.
This person will be responsible for helping support on these tasks related to training, the process how to use the systems, documentation, and using Degreed, recording training, etc.
This person should be experienced in training and development. as well as well written, detail oriented.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
In this role, you will have the opportunity to train the team members on their basic job duties using a wide variety of training methods and work closely with management to ensure all personnel are trained and developed appropriately. You will also :
- Draw an overall training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations and conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
- Report Training data and trends to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify any opportunities for improvement.
- Represent communications on behalf of the training development team.
- Collaborate with teams to address any training gaps.
- Review existing training to suggests and develop enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and / or to meet the changing needs of the organization.
- Record and edit training videos.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree in education or human resources or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years facilitating training.
- Experience developing e-learnings, training material utilizing SharePoint, Camtasia, Degreed or other tools.
- Highly proficient in presentation development and the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences in a variety of methods.

- Skilled at working effectively with others at all levels of the organization and across global regions.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Data analytics knowledge, including data visualization (MS Power BI) and database tools (SQL).
- Hands on experience in automotive diagnosis and repair.
- Manufacturing or vehicle engineering experience.
- Knowledge of electric vehicles.
