This role will have a hybrid schedule working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays in the Windsor, CT office (relocating to Hartford, CT in the second half of 2023) and working remotely Monday and Friday.

Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is a mid-career level project management role who will report directly to the Head of Program Management and will be responsible for leading moderate sized projects and supporting the Project Management Office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for medium to large scale projects in a high-speed environment, often of varying scope and moderate to significant complexity and risk, which will require cross-functional collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Projects may be concurrent or overlap and may be part of a larger program.
- Responsible for coordinating people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and produce the expected results.
- Coordinate and manage projects that span across multiple Talcott business areas and multiple third-party vendors’ staff.
- Given tight delivery timelines and schedules, flexibility and accommodation for late/off hours sessions required.
- Follow established PMO framework and complete all required project documentation.
- Communicate project status to the project team and executive leadership team / steering committee as needed.
- Lead project teams through coordination and facilitation of virtual and in-person whiteboard design sessions, and problem-solving sessions.
- Create monthly reporting and steering committee materials including reporting and analytics, and ongoing coordination and collection of supporting data.
- Expense tracking and expense allocations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
- Required background in Insurance, Financial Services, or Life and Annuity business
- 5 years minimum of related experience in project management, business analysis documentation or coordination of activities across a broad group
- Ability to work highly independently with minimal guidance
- Experience and/or interest in developing skills in PM software planning tools like MS Office applications, Excel, MS Project, Visio
- Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills with proven attention to details
- Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with colleagues and customers; is respected and trusted
