We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team for a multifamily housing project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in residential or commercial construction.
You will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform framing, installation of doors, windows, cabinets, and interior trim work
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to execute the project according to specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to meet required dimensions and specifications
- Install structural elements such as floors, walls, roofs, and stairs
- Ensure all carpentry work meets building codes, safety regulations, and project timelines
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out structures, fixtures, and components
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Inspect and maintain the quality of work throughout the construction process
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in multifamily housing or residential construction
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and methods
- Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and drawings
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications :
- Carpentry certification or vocational training
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
