Job Description

Talent Corps is hiring for a Shipping Clerk in the La Porte, TX area.

Skilled worker with a thorough knowledge of procedures and processes associated with customer
service, supply management, warehouse storage, and distribution functions in a fast paced
environment.

Must have at experience checking in drivers, processing paperwork
Dispatching experience required
Must have customer service & logistics experience
Possess strong data entry skills along with knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Must be able to learn any other programs for your department

Requirements

 Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Bilingual is a plus.
 Higher education or equivalent work experience in administrative/logistics specialization.
 Must have strong organization skills, be assertive, flexible, and customer service minded
 Mathematical skills: ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
 Maintain a clean and organized work area
 Perform various tasks in assistance or support of the organization
 Work other than normal scheduled hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or
holidays. According to the needs of the business.
 Must possess the skills to provide quality customer service including the ability to deal with a
variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
 Ability to perform assigned work tasks with little or no supervision.
 Filing completed files and helping to maintain the archived files.
 Perform all responsibilities including but not limited to the management of bill of lading,
receiving, invoicing, inventory control, and filing for any/all customers by following the
terms and conditions determined in customer agreements.
 Maintain a high level of professionalism with your assigned customers.
 Take a proactive approach with customers’ needs rather than a reactive approach.
 Must be able to problem solve when situations arise.
 Must be able to perform assigned task in a sometime high stress, fast pace environment.
